Objective

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, a lot of weddings were either postponed, held at a smaller scale or executed under a lot of stress, in Pakistan. I played my part by designing a wedding planner for brides to help them plan carefully, easily and feel relaxed by having everything sorted. My Wedding Planner is meant to hold sentimental value in a brides life. It caters to all her needs while planning her wedding, no matter the scale. It reduces stress, makes the process enjoyable and allows organization of all important factors in a Pakistani wedding

Based on the user research I conducted, I derived some pain points and brainstormed their solutions to create a well informed design of the product.

I followed a user centric approach to address the user experience efficiently. I used a variety of research techniques to gather data and incorporated the findings into my app design.

Created an empathy map to gain a deeper insight into the audience, and to identify the gaps between the user needs from the surveys and interviews I previously conducted.

Usability Testing Findings

Multiple users performed the task of using the product which led to a couple of findings for me as the product designer. It was communicated that the basic flow and experience was straight forward and enjoyable. However, one major issue that was communicated, in the journal, was the dated calendar at the start. Although it was a delightful feature, it limited the product sale from a business perspective. Another feature that was requested by a user was to add a "Rant/vent" section which helps empathize with the user and helps them feel appreciated. It was interesting to find that most of the users had a different favourite feature from the journal. This finding gave me an assurance that every feature which I included had a meaningful purpose, appealed to different users and wasn't a a case of a dominant feature over a weaker or confusing one.
